Foodie at heart

I am a foodie at heart and have been for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of dining out with my family as a child and insisting on ordering the most obscure menu item offered. It was worth the risk of not liking it, just to say that I had tried it.

Of course I was too shy to actually order the dish itself and risk mispronouncing the name; however, my parents were all too happy to step in and tease me profusely about it later.
