I am a journalism student and loving every minute of it • My parents have a home video of me (yes I said home video, as in VHS) interviewing family members with a makeshift microphone when I was a child – my nickname was Barbara Walters for a long time after that • I decided I wanted to create my own magazine when I was 21 • I have a slight overenthusiastic fondness for editing • I worked as an event coordinator for many years before pursuing my dream of becoming a journalist • I fiercely avoided watching the news until I became a journalist • I drink copious amounts of tea • I love all things food related • I wake up to the word of the day in my inbox every morning • In my next life I want to be a food critic or a back-up dancer (before becoming a journalist) • I love the smell of books • Writing has always been on my mind • I am spontaneous and wanderlust by nature • I have a collection of random magazines that I just can’t seem to part with • I like to conduct my interviews over a red tea latte • I am a perfectionist • I surprise myself on a daily basis.
